About Breuell & Hilgenfeldt

The foundation of Breuell & Hilgenfeldt GmbH is based on a long Hanseatic tradition. As early as 1888, the Breuell family was known for its trading activities among the neighbourhood people in Hamburg's free port.

After the end of the Second World War, Mr Egon Breuell founded the sole proprietorship Egon Breuell Ingenieurbüro und technische Vertretungen on 1 December 1946, which established itself primarily in the fields of electrical and mechanical engineering. In 1968, Berliner Elektrizitäts-Gesellschaft Otto Speck & Co. KG was taken over. The company was founded in 1909 and is based in Berlin. At the time of the takeover, the company headquarters were relocated to Hamburg and at the same time the company name was changed to BEG.

In 1993, BEG was renamed to what is now Breuell & Hilgenfeldt GmbH. Since then, the company's business activities have focussed on trading in ebm-papst fans and blowers. The close relationship between the manufacturer and world market leader ebm-papst and Breuell & Hilgenfeldt GmbH has existed since 1982.
